GIVING BACK

GIVING BACK

Giving back is a very important part of why I do what I do. I got into the business of basketball almost by accident. My career began by becoming a volunteer assistant at my old high school at Hamilton High. That act of support for my alma mater actually was the first step in my coaching journey. I’ve always taught my players the value of leaving your mark on this planet by giving back to the kids, non-profits, and persons in need. It’s the right thing to do! It is this philosophy that has our team out in the community supporting various events and showing the community how important they are to us, without the community we are not who we are! Everything begins with their unconditional love and support. The men’s basketball team has volunteer thousands of hours for the two years, with over 900 hours last year alone!

We have helped out different organizations such as the Aprendamos Intervention Team, who helps students who can’t afford school supplies, the things they need to be a successful student in the classroom. Also pictured is our annual Memorial Medical Clinic we do every year to give back to the staff member’s children, to thank them for their hours of hard work they do for our entire community.

We also participate in the National Walk To School Day with the local elementary schools every year, we love to be out and about in the community putting smiles on all the kid’s faces, there isn’t a better feeling.

We always participate with the local schools during the season and through the year.  It’s a wonderful way to give back to our community and positively influence our kids.  In addition, the players get back more by just giving of themselves.
